Add fades and set clip gain

Step by step

1. 01

   With the Select tool, click a clip to select it, then drag the fade handles at its start and end.

   In the Inspector's Fades section, type the Fade In and Fade Out lengths in ms and choose Linear, Equal Power, Exponential or Logarithmic.

   In the Gain section, set the clip's gain in dB; double-click the slider to reset it to 0 dB.

4. 04

   Select two overlapping clips and press X to crossfade them.
