Record MIDI from a keyboard

Step by step

1. 01

   Make sure your keyboard is switched on under MIDI Inputs in Oxtave → Audio Settings… (⌘,).

2. 02

   Add an Instrument track with the + button, or a MIDI track for external gear, and select it.

3. 03

   Press R to record: if no track is armed, Oxtave arms the selected one.

4. 04

   When cycle recording, each pass is merged into one part.
